searching for local support

I live in Lincoln County Me. ( Wiscasset, Edgecomb, BoothBay Harbor, Newcastle,Damariscotta, Nobelborough etc.) I am trying to locate a support groupe somewhere in this area; I would appreciate any help.( I am due to have surgery 2/18 in Boston) Thank you

Hi, My borther lives in Lincoln County and he drives to Augusta for support group meetings. I live in Southern Maine and go to the Scarbourgh meetings. You may want to look at Dr. Aslams web-site, he is out of Augusta. It is probably the closest to you. I believe it is www.draslam.com. Good luck fiinding a meeting. I think they do clothing exchanges at the Augusta meeting too. Teresa

Hi Jane, I grew up in North Whitefield and went to school at Lincoln Academy. Loved my years there. You might want to call local hospitals and ask them if they know of any support groups. Augusta is pretty far for you. I would hope that Wiscasset or BoothBay Harbor would have something. I had surgery in Bangor but live in Readfield which is between Augusta and Winthrop. Almost a 2 hour drive depending on who is driving. I do not get to go as much as I would like, I find them very helpful.
