I finally got a date. I will be going for surgery on February 5th at 9:15 in the morning. I can't wait, I'm so excited yet a little nervous. If anyone can give me some words of advice I would appreciate it. How long before surgery do you usually have to be at the hospital? Thank-you Marie for becoming my angel. You are great to talk to and I really do appreciate all your advice. Michelle A

Michelle, I just replied to your last post, but again, WELCOME. This is a great group of people. You are lucky to have Marie for an angel. She TRUELY is an angel!! As far as words of encouragement, think of the surgery as a small journey to a wonderful life. Your kids will be amazed at the energy you will have and your hubby too. We hear people talk about the pain, everyone is different but I would describe it as more of a discomfort. The epidural.. It isnt painful going in, just a little uncomfortable. Takes a couple of minutes and once it is in, you won't feel it, and you cant feel them take it out. I think of my surgery as just a tiny price to pay for what is ahead for me in the future!! You will do great. You are a woman, we have had children!!! Sorry to the few men on the board Take Care and best of luck.. Just being in this group helped me get through my pre-op jitters. Not to mention Marie. She is the best..... Kell

Congratulations!!!! Ditto to what has been said by others. You may be anxious , then the day of surgery you will be so busy you won't have time to think. The next thing you know you will be on the losing side and gaining a whole new life that is so wonderfully amazing! Cindy K.
