I am curious how many of you still weigh or measure your food?

Hi Jill, I don't. It more of an eye-ball it thing. And of course that feeling of fullness lets ya know when to stop. Just curious...(if you don't mind me asking)...why? Casey

I used to measure/weigh everything (I was maybe a little obsessive/compulsive about it), then after 2-3 months I stopped and started to do the eyeball/feeling full thing. Today I weighed stuff again because I am so paranoid about eating too much--even though everyone around me questions if I eat enough. I guess I was just sort of having one of those "paranoid" days when I worry about everything.

Hello, I was doing that measuring stuff for a while too. Then I figured I could just go with the flow. But I do think what you are thinking from time to time. Although at this point I really want my weight loss to slow way down. As long as you are getting enough fluids and eat when you're hungry...not head hungry you should do fine. But it's being anal and being paranoid that got us to where we are today so pat yourself on the back. You're doing very well. How's the exercising going? I haven't been to the gym in forever...oops. I have the chat window open if you're still there... Casey

Casey, The exercising is going great--I do my elliptical machine, lift weights, do leg lifts and crunches everyday except Wednesday. I actually have found that I really enjoy it and feel a little grouchier when I don't work out. I do find that I am getting a little bored with the elliptical though, so I plan on joining either the gym or curves--but I am waiting for curves to open to check it out and decide which one I want to join.

Good for you! I have been bad I haven't been to the Y in a while. Well...I have a ton of excuses why, lol. It's ok, I don't feel too bad about it. I am little grouchier which I see you can relate to. It's a very real side effect to not exercising. I was going to go to Curves at first but I didn't like that you can't spend time on one area that you want to work on. It sounds like fun but I also have heard/read about the bad sides to it. So we go to the YMCA in town. It's really nice. The people are just like anyone else and theres so many other benefits to it...pool, track, classes, etc. Alot of things are included in a membership at the gym so that's really cool. What I love about it is I can spend as long as I want on an abdominal machine and work off some of this flab. Let me know what you think about Curves if you join, it's interesting to hear other points of view on it. Casey

I never really ate till about 6 weeks out, then I measured faithfully for 1 week. Ummmm, but after that I just did the eyeball thing. I know if I do not reach goal it isn't Daynas fault. But in my own defense, I know I am not eating much and I do try to eat the correct things. Theresa Of course I type that as I sit here eating a mozzarella stick.
