Visiting Hours...
Heather,
My experience when I had surgery, and when a friend of mine had surgery was that they didn't really adhere strictly to the visiting hours. I was lucky enough to have a private room and I had friends in there as early as 6:30 am and as late as 11pm and no one ever said anything about it. A friend of mine had surgery and shared a room with someone and I went to see her during "non-visiting" hours and no one ever said anything either. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what the posted visiting hours are, but from some reason I think they might start at 1pm?

I talked to Linda this morning. She said anytime before 8 pm. Please pray for her as she hasn't had a good nights sleep in over 4 days. Her cold makes her miserable as when she caughs it hurts real bad. She can't laugh and you know she like to be happy and cheerfull. She let me go as she says she can't talk much.

Hi Heather,
I had a traffic flow of visitors. LOL. They were all usually gone by 8 pm. including hubby as he was as tired as I was. However the woman next to me also had a lot of visitors, unfortunately they didn't know when to call it quits. They were very loud and obnoxious (but the patient was a very sweet lady) They would have the game blaring on tv....Finally the nurse did "kick them out" at 10:30pm.
My last night there a private room emptied and they asked me if I wanted it.. It was my most restful night there.
As long as people are pretty respectful, they wont say much. If you have a private room, someone can spend the night with you (not sure if u had a hub or sig. other. lol )
Take Care!! Kell
