My nephew finally got out of the hospital yesterday. Which was a very good thing , my sister was getting to stressed out from it. On Monday my nephew had to go 12 hours without eating because he had to have surgery to have his pick line put in. Then on Tuesday my sister didn't know the line was around her foot and she broke the line and he had to go back into surgery again to have a new line put in. Then yesterday he had to be sedated again to have a mri done. The DR wanted him to spend another 24 hours in the hospital after the mri. But my sister signed a release so they could leave. I don't blame her, for wanting out of there. Every doctor she saw gave her a different store about what was going on with her son. The doctor never told them that after the mri he needed to stay for 24 hours after wards. Very poor communication in the pediatrics ward, at Eastern Maine Medical Center. I'm glade the 3rd floor wasn't like that when I had my gastric bypass surgery in June. There is a home health nurse that checks on my nephew once a day and changes his medication bag. She says he's going great, and thinks my sister and her husband did the right thing in getting him home. But on a bad not my sister's husband went to work this morning and got laid off. That is the last thing they needed to have happen now. I just hope he can find a new job quick. I know we will do what we can to help them out like we did while their baby was in the hospital. But what little we can do won't pay the bills.

Yikes, what a lot to go through at such a young age. I'm glad your nephew is home, that's where the best medicine is. I will pray for your family that your nephew recovers quickly and things start turning for them. Take care and God Bless. Sue
