Ya so what the hell is up with the Medicaid cuts on the surgery?!?! I just got off the phone with a friend who has her date (Jan 30) BUT just got notification from Lynn saying that the surgery most likely will not be happening for her because of the changes Baldacci has been making. You would think that they would allow people already in the program at EMMC to continue on and see if they are a good candidate for surgery not tell everyone 'sorry, we don't cover that now'. Maine--the way life should be BAH! Well I will call Lynn in the morning and see what's up for Friday (she must be a big ball of high blood pressure right now). The meeting better still be on. And they had better not tell us we can't talk about this issue or I'm going to pitch a fit. GGGGGRRRRRRRR I also saw that they would be cutting the coverage for removal of excess skin after major weight loss...that's not nice!!! I'm MAD! Casey

Specially not nice is if it REALLY needed. Some people have lost so much weight that they have pains and such.

My pcp told me when I started this thing that ps is usually the hardest thing to get approved. She then told me with enough skin hanging, it could actually affect my balance. It makes sense, as I cannot hold something heavy in one hand and walk. It throws me off balance.. but skin? whoulda thought!!!!????????
