medicaid reforms

I just spoke with a nurse at the medicaid pre approval department. She told me that the Maine legislature is seriously considering cutting out all elective surgeries including the gastric bypass. They will be hearing from the legislature by Monday of next week. She also told me that if it goes through they do not believe that anyone will be grandfathered which is really unfortunate.
