Two Questions

I have two questions.. #1) Do I bring my meds to the hospital with me? I take thyroid meds, wellbuterin, prevacid (adid reflux) and a new drug I am taking for my neurological disease (pray it will work for me), zocor, and of course my vitamins..Do they give you meds or do I need to take mine? I know when my Mother is in there, they wont let her take her own. They give her what she needs, but she is in and out of the hospital for heart issues, and I am not sure if this is a total different story??? #2) This is kind of a silly question but when I have been to EMMC in the past, I have seen people bring dogs in... Is this special dogs or can we bring pets in there? Jordan(my mini schnauzer) is going to go absolutely crazy without "mommy" around. We will bring her on the trip to have my surgery but she will stay with hub and the kids at my sisters house. Surgery is Jan 2, that is Friday.... everyone says the next day is hell... so hub plans to bring the kids to visit me Sunday, but we will see.. if I am feeling up to it Saturday then they will come up then.....It's no biggie, but I thought if the dog could come, that would be great. She is even Hypoalergenic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!

Kelley.....you won't need to bring your medicine with you to the hospital. They will have everything you could possibly need. You will need to let the hospital know what you are taking for meds and they will let you know which ones you are allowed to take the morning of surgery. By the time I left the hospital, I was completely off all of my medication and my doc told me that I would no longer be needing them and he was right!! Just you wait!!
