I've had a lot going on the last month and a half

As of today I have been a member of Obesityhelp now for a year. I had my surgery for the carpal tunnel in my left hand 11/11. it's just a little tender but almost completely healed. The wrist is feeling great, still have a little pain in my elbow. I'm thinking now the elbow pain might be caused by my alnu nerve like one of the past doctors I have seen said. But other then that the recover has gone great. I see Dr. Askins on 12/29, I'm hoping he will want to do the surgery on my right hand next, but I'm not sure if it is bad enough so he will do the surgery. I went back to work on December 1st, with no problems. But while I was out of work my father in law was in the hospital do to having a small stroke. He is doing a lot better now but was in the hospital for about a week. He's walking with a cane but is doing really well with it. During the time I was off, my sister and I where going to go to canada christmas shopping but we never did make it. We left 11/14 at 5am to go to canada, we made it all the way down to Bailyville, which is just one town from the Canadian US border when I realized I didn't have my license with me. So if I had crossed the border I wouldn't been able to make it back. We ended up turning around driving straight through to Hampden eating breakfast at the truck stop, then getting on the interstate and going to Portsmouth New Hampshire to Christmas shop. We reached New Hampshire at noon and didn't get back home till 10:30 PM that night it was a really long day but we had fun. She got a good laugh out of me not having my license with me, too. Thanksgiving was good my sister and her husband was over for dinner. The bad part of the day was when I had my husband take the turkey out of the oven and he spilt the grease all over my stove. The turkey was in one of those cheap throw away pans and it bent in on him and he didn't know it, grease went every where. That didn't not make my happy it was a horrible mess. My sister helped me clean it up. But other then that thanksgiving was good. The day after thanksgiving, I did the Christmas shopping thing and got at least half my shopping done then. On that day I actually went shopping on 3 different occasions. By the first week of December I had about all my Christmas shopping done and the presents all wrapped up. Basketball season has started and my daughter is a started on the team. They have such a small team that she has played the whole game except one and that game she was only out of the game for 10 seconds. She is doing really well this year and is more aggressive going after the ball. She has even scored 5 point since the season started, last year she didn't score any. The team has played a game with the full team yet. The first game the coach and his daughter missed it because he had been on vacation the week before and during the weekend we where hit with a big snow storm and they where stuck at the airport some where. the next game one girl was sick and another got detention at school and wasn't allowed to play in the game. This last game same girl was still sick and the other girl that missed the last game was on vacation. They only have eight players on the team so went one is gone they know it but with two gone it's really a big loss. Especially since one of the two girls is a starter and the other girl is the "6th man". The girls have played 3 games with in the union and only lost one and have lost one scrimmage. They are doing better then last year. My sister had her baby on December 10th. she went in that morning to be induced and then by 8:35PM she had to have an emergency c-section was done. she had dialated and closed back up. Charles Robert was 7.6 oz 20.5 inches with blond hair and blue eyes born at 9:28PM. The doctor told her on the next day since everything was going well she could go home on Friday or Saturday which ever she choose. She wanted out and was planning on going home Friday, but Thursday night the baby had a reaction to the formula and they had to say an extra night to make sure the soy formula would be OK with him. The came home Saturday and both are doing good. My sister's incision has opened up a little but she should be OK. I had to do some more Christmas shopping after Charles Robert came. Got to have some presents under the tree for him. He's a little cutie. I spent last weekend baking all day Saturday and making candy all day Sunday. I took a big plate of food in to work for my co-workers and my husband took a plate in for his co-workers, plus I gave away some boxes of the food to family and friends and we still had a big plate of "Junk" at home for us to eat. I know I had more of it then I should of that's the worse part about me not dumping, that I can still eat the "Junk". I saw DR Clough on the 17th of this month and he seemed happy with my weight loss and now thinks that by next December I should be down to 160 pounds. I really don't know if I want to be that small. He told me what ever I was doing for my vitamins to keep it up because everything was right with in the range that they should be. He also agreed that my surgery for my carpal tunnel and my sprained foot slowed down my weight loss but still thinks I can hit 160. the first time I saw Dr. Clough he wanted me down to 165 so he's has changed my goal weight now. I'm about half way to my goal weight I'm down to 278. I haven't been this small since around 1998, so that is really good. I go see Dayna on February 4th I really hope I can be down about 20 pounds more when I see her. I really need to get back in the swing of working out again. I have been really bad about that since hurting my foot and surgery. My husband is on vacation now till the 26th. It's really not much of a vacation he's recovering from minor surgery. surgery didn't go as well as it should of for him. Surgery should of only lasted 45 minutes but his lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. So it's a very good thing he took the time off from work and isn't going back to work on monday like his boss wanted him too. I only have 2 and a half days of work this week and I think next week I will only have 3 days of work all do to the holidays. so it will be nice to have a little break. We will be having some presents at work on Wednesday and a Christmas party but I won't go to that, I'm not really a party person or that much of a people person. Christmas Eve night we will go over to my sister's house and have dinner and presents from them. Then Christmas morning they will be coming over to our house and have Christmas breakfast and presents here and then Christmas dinner. My father in law is planning on stopping by on Christmas day too, might stick around for dinner too. His girlfriend and him just broke up so his Christmas plans have changed. If he doesn't have dinner her then he will have it with his sister and niece. Hope everyone has a merry Christmas!!! hopefully I will up date sooner next time, and also get a new picture up. And that is what has been going on with me for the past few weeks.
