I went to last nights (Friday) support group meeting in Bangor and had a GREAT time. Not only was the meeting super, but I got to meet 7 other people that are members here on Obesityhelp.com. I also have to admit it was an odd feeling being recongized from my picture. Casey, Lauren and Kelley, you 3 crack me up. Lauren you are as quiet as I always thought you were, but you also have that beautiful heart that I also KNEW was there. Meeting you in person just provided me with further belief of that. Kelley I have a feeling you have a side of you that loves to laugh and make fun at everything. You are someone I would want around to keep me upbeat and on track. And Casey, LORDY, what can I say about that girl. Talk about upbeat, fiesty, fun, sweet and intelligent. AND, where does she get that energy????????? I also met Michell, Louise, Rebecca(think that was your name)Ron, YES Ron and his side kick that we always here about WAS there. Oh and then there was sweet dear Beverly. I am VERY glad we had a chance to talk and hope to talk more with you, you have a beautiful soul. I wish Jane could have made it, I still think we all should have gone over and shoved our way into her room. Thank you all for making my night so special. Yes it is true, I do not get out enough and am easily amused. I hope we can all meet up again. Special thanks to Casey for the clothes, what an ego boost to get new clothes in smaller sizes and be able to share the excitement with people that know what it means to me. Hugssssssssssss to all. Theresa BTW, Ron, be nice to your pal, stop hitting him so much.

Yes indeed it was a great time. Theresa, it is definitely a tossop to see if you or Casey have more energy..lol. It was awesome meeting you all. Lauren, Thank you so much for taking me down to the meeting and helping with the wheelchair and such. The chats on the trip were great also. Once I start running at the mouth, I usually don't stop. In fact I was so pumped up that when I came home, the kids went to bed, hubby was working and I was bored out of my mind and not tired a bit. I Called my niece across the street and told her to come visit me.(10pm) LOL. Here she come, in the freezing cold. haha. BTW Lauren, you said that third moose was HUGE. LOL (an inside joke). I would only have one wish to make last night different, and that would have been for the meeting to go a little longer so we could have heard from more pre-ops and asked more questions. We left a tad early because the parking got done at 6 and I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get Lauren's van. Ha Ha. Lynn puts on a great meeting. RON?????????? I was looking forward to meeting him!! BUMMER . Someone tell me where he was sitting and maybe I will remember who he was. I had seen Beverly at a meeting back in June, but I had no idea that she was Beverly until last night. best wishes on your surgery Beverly. I felt it makes the closeness between all of us even stronger. I enjoyed Casey so much and I got a huge kick out of Theresa trying on her clothes. YOU GUYS ARE TOO FUNNY. Theresa, you have a great hubby. My hubby also wears two hearing aids. It is difficult for him to sit in a group and follow along. Now I can tell him he is not the only one, so YOUR COMING!! Erika, I wanted so much to talk to ya one on one. Like I said, we left a tad early to get the van from parking. There will be other times. Even one day meet somewhere in town for lunch... since you are only 7 miles away. lol. Also met Weezie, we tried to motion for her to sit with us on the other side of the room, but we couldnt catch her attention!! Anyways, Loved all of ya. going to the meeting just pumped me up even MORE!!!!!!!! Kell

I'm so glad you were all able to meet and had such a great time. I was hoping to make it, but work commitments kept me from attending. That is pretty cool that you could all chat and meet each other. Have a wonderful, snowy weekend! Jill

Hello everyone, What can I say? Thank you so much everyone for the nice compliments. Me fiesty? Now way! I wish we could have hung out longer! Maybe sometime this summer we can plan a beach day or a BBQ? We like traveling so it would be interesting to go somewhere NEW for a change after this winter. Can't believe the snow we got here last night! Glad the hubby did the snow blowing/shoveling, it's too damn cold for me, lol. Anyway back to the meeting. There were so many people there Friday, which was great. Ron was behind Lynn for those of you wondering. I think he was wearing a green shirt, he sat next to the man who had the red "big daddy" shirt. Theresa- so happy to meet you! I hope you enjoy the clothing and wear what fits you! I actually like wearing form fitting clothes again, you might find yourself doing the same. And boy what a nice person you are, I think you have the energy! Great to meet "DH", tell him I say hi and thanks for coming. Kelley- LOVE YOUR HAIR DO!! I think I need to get a dye job, lol. You're such a strong person, and all those kids must keep you on your toes. Surgery will be a great help in enjoying your days with them. Happy to see you again after the first meeting you came too all those months ago, isn't it weird how fast time flies by? Lauren- I don't think I have been able to talk with you much on here yet, and I do say yet because I would like to get to know you and follow your progress. I hope your fears don't outweigh your strength which I know is lurking there! You will find peace with the things that scare you as you get closer to surgery and there are SO many ways of reaching out for support. I'm here if you need to talk. "Weazie"- Great to see you there. I really do hope everything works out in your quest for the lap-band procedure. You are paving the way for future EMMC employees to have a chance at this WONDERFUL change in their lives. You are truly an inspiration to have the guts to go up against a hospital, insurance and the odds. Ron- So snobby!! Didn't even talk to me this time, waaa! Haha. Glad to see ya man, and like someone else said earlier- please be nice to Ray. He's human too!! ;) Beverly- Just a treat to see you again. I was wondering if we would ever hook up before you had surgery. I am so happy things are going well for you now, having the date set and all. I will email you just as soon as I can get me MSN email working on this computer again. Hugs. I am helping the woman who had surgery on Machias. She's just a peach. I stayed with her till about 8 that night getting her set with what she needs to do etc. Gave her my binder of info which I happened to have just gotten back from a friend who attending the class before the meeting. I guess I should get dressed. It's sorta cold sitting here in my towel, lol. Casey
