Let the circus begin
I called Dr. Clough's office yesterday and THIS TIME she told me my paperwork had been faxed to my insurance on the 21st. (just the other day they told me it had not yet been sent) I called my insurance co. They transferred me about 4 times and finally got a nice lady on the phone from the case management team. She asked me if the surgeons office had even called yet to set it up. I said "call?, I thought they fax it." she told me that it had to be set up by phone first to get to their system, then they had to fax the paperwork. She told me that if they just sent paperwork then it would just float around and probably wouldn't go into their system for quite some time. Soooooooo I got back on the phone to Dr. Clough's office. Had to leave a msg. It was late in the day, and I didn't hear back, so I am hoping to hear from them right off this morning.
I just had a funny feeling I was going to be led on a wild goose chase!!!
You have to be getting the run around or just people not taking the time to think before they answer. You have a PPO, they have to call first. I have a PPO, they call the insurance company and go over a list of questions, if you meet the requirements they set you up in the system. At least this is how I understood it, this is how Dr Cloughs office explained it to me.
Hang in there, it WILL happen!!!! Keep on them.
Good luck!
