Phone Call

I reived a phone call from Marie at 9pm last night. She was quite upset and in a great deal of pain. I know everyone is different but should she be in that much pain? I felt helpless being 3 hours from her. Her husband had to come home to go to work and she is alone down there. I know she will be ok, I just know it. She said the staff there has been completely wonderful.. She mentioned the emails and was very happy to hear from everyone. Again she is at Eastern Maine medical center and is in room 313. Same thing happened to me. On the second day my epidural got a kink or something. They figured out even though it was set at 15 I was most likely only getting enough as if it was set on 6 or 8. BUT they had been giving me demoral through my IV, they wondered why I was still needing the IV. Funny thing is, my hub had gone home too, the ONLY time he left, because I insisted I was fine and I wanted him to bring the kids back the next day. I wish he had been there! The staff IS wonderful! They stayed right on top of my pain. I bet things will be much better for her soon. I did send her an email yesterday. It was at night so she might not get it till today. Have a great day!

Hi Lauren, I spoke to her a couple times today and she had to let me go because people were coming in and out. She seems to be feeling better. She sounds better. I wanted to call her earlier but I remember her saying she didn't sleep well and that they were going to give her something, so she is probably sleeping now. I will post as I hear anything.. Kell
