I reached the first goal I set for myself. I am sooo thrilled. I am under 200 lbs!!! Had my yearly today and weighed in at 199.5. Yeah!! I have not been that weight since I gave birth to my first child 12 yrs ago. My gyn/ob was very excited for me and cant wait to see me next year. I consider myself a slow loser, not that I am complaining, now that I am working out at Curves at least 5 days a week it is coming off steady. As long as it is steady I will not complain. So that puts me at a loss of about 36 pounds!

Hi Theresa! Congrats on your weight loss and reaching your first goal! Curves is awesome isn't it? I also go five days a week, but I was dismayed last week when I overheard the woman who runs the desk tell someone you get the same benefit from 3 workouts a week as you do from 5. I asked her about it the next day, and she told me yes, that was correct; doesn't matter if you go 3 times or 5. I have a real problem understanding that. What do you think? Just seems to make common sense to me that if I work out five day a week versus 3, I burn more calories and up my metabolism. Would love to know if anyone else has any thoughts. Way to go though, Theresa! You are doing beautifully - especially for a "lightweight!" LOL! Happy Losing! Jo PS - I tried to update my profile about a week ago, and wound up locking myself out of it - so I had to set up a whole new profile. One day I WILL figure this cyber-jazz out!
