Nervous Nelly!

Hello: I am a bit nervous because I meet with Dr. Toder on 9/23/03. It feels like one of the most important meetings of my life. What if I've gained 5 pounds---what if I have to lose 20 before surgery?!My BMI is 45.8. I suspect I will be approved because I have the insurance provider who still seems to approve of WLS and fairly quickly. I can't have the surgery until December because of my work. I am also concerned about cravings between now and surgery. And, if I have lap---can I take 4 - 6 weeks off from work--what have you all experienced? And, if open--same timeframe or longer? I have a bunch of questions I will ask Dr. Toder--just wanted some input from others. Thanks, Jane in Bangor

Jane! Your post sounded like my exact thoughts. I'm scared that Dr. Clough will refuse to do my surgery because I gained weight. My emotions are crazy..."trying" to diet now, the exact struggle that brought me to this decision. It's tough. I look forward to hearing how your meeting goes.
