I'm going for it!!

I go to my seminar on Monday night. I want ot go for the adjustable lap band. Has anyone had that on this forum? I have only heard good things about it. The only down side is that the weight comes off slower. I can live with that. My question is regarding the insurance. If anyone has had the lap band and has anthem bcbs, how were they to work with? Also, what criteria did you have to meet in order to have the lap band. I am so excited I can't stand it. I keep asking my family and friends why they are not as thrilled as I am but I guess you have to know what it is like to live in this body in order to want OUT as bad as I do....

Hi Lisa, I had open RNY but I have a friend that lives in Winthrop that is going for the lap band plus my Mom in Law is thinking about it. I hear the insurances deny it the first time it is put in but approve on the appeal. Good luck!!!
