Thanks for writing back to my post. At least I know here someone will read what I write. I tried putting a counter on my profile but it didn't seem to work, either that or no one read the darned thing, lol. Oh the protein sure does fill you up without a doubt. For instance in the first week or so I could only eat 2-3TB of yogurt at breakfast before I was full or one ounce of cheese at lunch etc. Your stomach is so irritated at that point from the insult of the staples that it's not really easy to over eat. But I can't stress enough how it is different for everyone. When you are in the first two weeks the most soft protein food you can have at a meal is 1/3 cup. At the two week mark you can then have that same soft food amount but split with it being 1/4 c protein and 2-3TB fruit or veg. They still want you to have a varied diet post op it just has to be in a slow progression. I was soooo shocked to learn I had lost 24 whole pounds at 2 weeks out! I was not expecting that much at all. I thought maybe 10-15. But man that was so cool to go from 239 to 215 in 13 days! I wish you two luck also! It isn't exactly easy to do all this but it is worth it. ~Casey

Casey, Your count must not of worked because I have read your profile a few times. I agree with you we are all different in what we can eat, and how much. You said the first week you could only eat 2-3 TB of yogurt, I could eat 3 oz of my yogurt. Best of luck to you.
