Anyone had LapBand?

Hi, I'm new here. I'm thinking about getting the LapBand surgery. Has anyone had it? Also, do you know of a Dr. in the Machias area that does it? What are all the steps I need to go through? I haven't even talked it over with my PCP yet.

The only doctor that I personally know that does lapband in Maine is Dr Aslam in Augusta. He is just starting to do them.

Hi Monique..I had the Lap Band Surgery 2 months ago with Dr. Aslam in Augusta....I have heard that Dr. Clough's office is in the works of doing them but not sure if they are. I had no troubles with the surgery or anything so far being post op. Feel free to contact me and I will be happy to discuss with you. I wish I had done this years ago. I feel so much better and so far 37 pounds lighter!! Clothes are falling off me...I need to go SHOPPING!! Penny
