Hi, I was there on the outside circle listening. It was my first support group, I also had orientation the same day. There is so much information, I have been battling with my weight since I was young and have been teetering with this decision for surgery for 2 years. Now its just deciding between the gastric sleeve and the bypass.

I was at the support group as well and had gastric bypass on 6/27/11. I would just recommend that you read over as much information on both that you can find and talk to people who have had both. I think that really made things clearer for me and then when I met with my surgeon we talked about all the options again even though at that point I pretty much knew what I wanted to do.
