Remember me???
Hey there, I haven't been on the boards for ages but have my 1 year follow up coming up in 24 days so I'm trying to get back involved again. My weight loss really slowed down around 9 months. I got down to 183 and my goal weight is 165. This morning the scale read 191!!! Which really scared me. I had been away over the weekend and that is part of it but I didn't regain 8 lbs in one weekend. I know WHY, I have gotten lax about observing the "rules", I don't have as much restriction as in the beginning and I don't dump (sad that I wish I did!). I haven't been great about committing to exercise either and it's all excuses and I know if I don't make changes NOW then next year I'll be right back where I started or worse. I refuse to waste this tool I have. Starting today I have begun writing down everything I eat again, I am drinking water by the gallon and started keeping a journal. As much as a lot of my issue is bad habits I also know that there is a reason WHY I do what I do so I'm hoping the journal will help me with that. I think being mindful is really important. I signed up at sparkpeople.com and they have an 8 week 5K training program that looks really doable. I am going to do that and see how it goes. I am taking a weekly yoga class that I love and am looking into what else is available. On the plus side I feel really good, people really notice the difference and I am loving new clothes. My goal by my 1 year appt. on April 8th (which I thought about changing to give me more time but then I decided that they are there to help me not to yell at me so I need to go) is to be at 180, I think I can do 11 lbs in 24 days. I'll try to be better about checking in here. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Tami
glad to see you. I also gained 5 pounds this winter and it is hard to take it off. I went back to weigh****chers and i also need to start writing everything down.
I still have lots of restriction but i also snack to much and that has been my down fall at thanksgiving and christmas. Back to the grind.
take care

Hi, good to see you again. I don't think 11 pounds is do-able in 24 days at this stage of the game. You would need to have a 1605 calorie deficit daily to burn that many calories and if you burn 2000 daily you would only be able to eat 295 calories a day. So don't beat yourself up if you don't get there. (Unless a lot of that weigh is water retention from a weekend binge, you might be able to!) Good luck.
