Gastric Sleeve

          Hello, I am new to this group and am looking forward to being part of it. I have been in the Surgical Weight Loss program at EMMC since April of last year. I had all appointments done in October, but battled my insurance company for almost 5 months to cover my surgery. I am happy to say on March 21st I will be admitted to EMMC and having a gastric sleeve surgery performed by Dr. Toder. I am on day 3 of my 2 week pre surgery liquid diet and will say its hard. I am trying my hardest as I know this is important. Anyone out there who has had a gastric sleeve any tips you can give me? How was pain after surgery? How was recovery? Thank you~

 Dr. Toder will be performing my surgery tomorrow.  I am having gastric bypass so I can't help you on the sleeve part but I have just done the 2 week full liquid diet. I have to say it is not easy to do but I have gotten thru it and never cheated once.  Believe me I was tempted to but never did. LOL  I will let you know how my stay was when I am up to getting on the computer. I too started my journey back in April so I know it has been a long process but now that it is here it seems like it actually went pretty fast. LOL  Take care and good luck with your surgery.
