UGH!! Just getting frustrated!

So, I called EMMC and asked if they had gotten my referral yet. Guess WHAT! They said that they haven't recieved it yet! It's been a week! Geez, does it really take that long to get the referral? I called my PCP and haveyet to recieve a call back from the Referral Specialist! Maybe it's fate telling me "Wake up Silly! You're not ever going to have the surgery!" Sorry to be a Negative Nancy! Just getting frustrated! Thanks for "listening" to my rant!

It will happen when the time is right! Please stay focused on your goal, work at it. It will happen but not overnight it will take least 6 months to go through the entire process. It seems like forever I know. Start going to suport groups the more you attend before hand the more prepared you will be. Then suddenly you will be taking the long walk down the hall and it will seem like it happened all at once.

Don't give up hope!  Remember that the "squeaky wheel gets the grease"!!!  Keep calling your PCP....it'll get done!  I drove them NUTS with questions!  They get PAID for this!   Keep the faith!  It'll happen!!!  Keep us posted!!!

I called my PCP yesterday and I finally got my call back today! They JUST faxed in all the paperwork and everything else that was needed TODAY! So, they said that I should here back from EMMC by the end of the week (Monday the latest)!!!

I hope things move along quickly for you, but like others said, be patient, and count on at least 6 months before surgery.
I know the feeling of wanting things done NOW.  It has been over a week since my docs office tried to submit my stuff to my insurance only to find out that when my hubby's insurance changed, someone messed up, and didn't carry over the gastric stuff.  Sooooo, I've been bugging the human resources lady, and the person who messed up, for over a week now.  I know that mistakes happen, and have tried to be patient, but when she gets on the phone and lies to get me off her back, I get mad.  He mistake is holding me up.
