So hard to get motivated
So I am about 3 months out of LapBand surgery and I am just maintaining at this point. I know I need to get moving, but it is so hard to get motivated. I have such social anxiety over going to group fitness classes, but thats what I actually like to do. I hate working out on my own. I bought a planet fitness membership almost a year ago....and have gone once. I just feel so anxious going places that arent familiar and friendly. BOOOOOO.
well, I can't tellyou what will work for you, but let me share what and how i got out of the SAME feelings as you. I HATE Gyms and exercise, but knew I needed to do it, so I had to do something to get moving. so, last winter, I said to myself I wanted to get out and move and have fun, I bought some snow shoes, and started out with a few friends, organized weekend hikes, even had a few friends to buy some of their own. I had so much fun, enjoy winter for the first time in AGES>>> then spring came early and I continued walking, hiking and trying to find fun trails, again, called and got some friends to join me. then I went kayaking with my neighbor and loved that and hubby bought me 2 kayaks and I must of gone out 30 times this summer, alone, with friends, hubby loves it now also. when I go out for my walks I also route out different routes to take so I don't get bored, I have even parked my car on the side of a nice road and walked out a mile and back. Keep yourself having fun, don't get bored, enjoy the weather, find something for rainny days, cause if your like me you will find every excuse not to do it. so start out by finding a friend and plan a fun day, take your camera, dog, have FUN.. where do you live??
