Dieticial Appointments

Do any of you remember how many dietician appointments you have to go to before surgery?  Is the amount of appointments different with lap band?

I think I went to two...if I remember correctly.  They may have changed things since I was at that stage though. 
It's just to give you all the info for diet changes and talk to you about the different stages you go through after surgery. (Liquids, mushies, etc)
You may want to make a list or questions to ask while you are there...the more info you have the better.  :)

If I remember correctly it is different with differnt dr's.  some have a goal, % of weight they want you to loose, and NO, it is the same with the band or RNY.  good luck, the sooner you comply and show you are serious about this process the sooner they will approve you

For me it is all about the insurance...mine makes me be under a dieticians care for 6 consecutive months...miss a month and I have to start over...Grrrr.   lol
On the positive side, I am learning a lot...but i hate, hate, hate having to keep track of everything that enters my lips.  It does keep me honest though.

I wentt o my dietician appointment and will have to go back Sept. 10, for a weigh in..I have 9lbs to lose...If I lose it before that date. I can go in get weighed and be sent off to meet with Dr. Cobean!  I am hoping I lose my 9 lbs sooner then later!  We shall see!
