9 months out -- my update
I had my meeting with Lynne at the WLS clinic yesterday. She did the metabolism scan on me and it appears that I run 23% fast which means my daily caloric intake could be as high as 2300 calories to simply maintain the weight I am at. LOL!! I don't know if I believe that. There's no way I could eat that many calories in a day.
Good news is that I am within the range of acceptable weight loss to be on maintenance. Lynne told me that I could lose up to 8 more lbs by October if I wanted to, but she was thrilled where I am and did not need to lose anymore weight if I didn't want to. I am well within the healthy range. My body fat % is within the healthy range for a woman my age and my BMI, while technically, I'm still "overweight" is still in what she considers the healthy range. My lean muscle mass had gone up (yay) and I have actually gained lean muscle and have more than when I started this process (another yay!)
Best of all, I'm having a blast this summer. I can keep up with my kids. We're outside all of the time. This is something that I probably would not have done in years past.
