I think I'm broken

I have only lost 18lbs since my surgery 3 weeks ago.  I lost 20lbs pre-op.  My nut said the I am losing a little slower then she thought I would given my starting size.  I'm starting to wonder if I am doing something wrong.  I don't eat much at all, do great with my water intake and vitamins.  I've been swimming and walking some too, but maybe its not enough.  I am worried what if I don't lose the weight :(  I have not cheated at all on the food piece, so I'm not sure what's going on.  I just thought it would come off faster for some reason.  Any thoughts?  should I be happy with these results so far?

Sounds like you are doing great.

Write down everything you put in your mouth and  that includes  drinks too.

Just to check your calories.   Sounds to me like you are doing everything you can just keep plugging away and it will come off.

take care

You are at the 2/3 week stall.  I think this is so normal as your body has just gone through a huge change.  You burned up all your easy stores of energy and now it's trying to hang on to what's left. It will eventually start to burn the fat and the weight will come off.  I only lost weight about one week out of a month, we are all so different.  Make sure you are getting enough calories, at least 600/day and lost of protein and water. That will help burn fat and keep muscle.

20 pounds lost during two week pre-op diet.

I am 7 weeks post-op today and I'm down 25 lbs. So I think that you are right on track. It will come off it just takes time.

Do what the nuts and Dr tell you. This surgery does work. Just different rates of loss for each person.

Make sure you are getting your protein and fluids in, walk, exercise and it will come off.
