Need PCP

Hi everyone,

I was wondering/hoping someone could refer me to a good Personal Care Physician. I've moved to a new area and am in desperate need of a new doctor. My last physician was willing to give me a referral to have gastric bypass but wanted me to decide where I wanted the surgery before the referral; well now he's not my doctor anymore so I'm kinda SOL right now. Does anyone have a good PCP they can recommend in the Portland (ME) area?

Mine is Dr. Megan Driscoll.  She is located in Gorham.  I like her a lot.  the reason your docotor needs a surgeon before they do the referal is because they actually have to send it to the office where you want it done.

It isnt a letter you just carry around until you find one.  I would reccommend you go to some of the info session at the programs your interested in.  I just had my LapBand done by the Maine Medical Center Bariatric program.  They have info sessions once a month in south portland.  They have a great website too!  Look into it!
