Now Im in Northport
I relocated this morning to the beautiful seaside village of Northport for recovery at my parents house. I have to say I didn't think it would hurt this much to move around. I always thought I was really tough when it came to pain. I guess its all part of the restart! The oxys are making me a little groggy so forgive me if I am in coherent.
I made my first food item with protien powder today. I used light lemon yogurt and mixed in some unflavored that I had mixed with a little milk. Not so great. But I squeezed some lemon juice in there and not so bad!
B: Sugar free popsicle and an Atkins shake
L: A half cup of tomato soup
S: Lemon protien yogurt
D: Probably more yogurt
2 Glasses of water and counting.
Woot.

My experience was that a few days out things got dramatically better. The worst was the ride home from the hospital! But after a month the pain was gone, and it is all worth it when you get to the other side of it. Good luck!
And enjoy Northport -- nice area to relax for a bit.
