Had my   surgery this morning with  Dr  Haung.   He is  simply amazing.!!!

and fast.  was in  or  from start to finish in  no time.   Seemed that way tho.  Was less than an hour.

The nice thing is that he said i could do anything aerobic exercising including zumba  as soon as i feel up to it.  Just no heavy  lifting anything over 25 pounds.   He made my day when he told me that.

I am home and resting.  time to go back to chair.

Have a great day all!!!!

I agree, Dr. Huang is excellent! That's great news about the exercising. I know you were concerned about that.

But, you did just have surgery so remember to rest. And if you need a laugh, ask your son about what happened at the Support Meeting AFTER you left!

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

Patty:

I was at the Support Group for the first time on Tuesday and listened to you story.  So glad your hernia repair went so well and that you will be able to get back to Zumba!  But as others have said, rest for a bit first!  I was so impressed with all the stories shared and it has given me a lot to contemplate.  I'm ready to take control of my life and not let eating be the control in my life.  I think RNY is the way for me to accomplish this task.  I will need to make many changes in my ways of thinking, acting and reacting to food.  I am up against some not so supportive members in my family but my husband is extremely supportive and he is the most important one as far as I'm concerned.  The non-supportive members not so surprisingly are the ones who have never struggled with weight issues while I have struggled my entire life.  But I digress...lol.  Just wanted to chime in and say glad everything went well.  I was so excited to recognize your photo from seeing you at teh Support Group the other evevning.  Take care and best wishes for a speedy return to Zumba!
