So I have had some intermident pain in my upper abdomen with sharp pains into my shoulder as well as nausea but not anything I couldn't handle. One night a few weeks ago I went to the ER because the pain into my shoulder was really bad. However they did tests and said they couldn't find anything wrong. I even suggested to my doctor maybe it's my gall bladder and they said it coudl'nt be because it wasn't on the Right side, however when I saw Dr. Toder a week ago she stated that "I'm pretty sure your gallbladder didn't read the text book and doesn't know it should hurt on the right side" and wanted to have it checked.

Well yesterday I had an ultra sound and today i get a call from Dr. Toder, long story short, I'm going back in and she's going to remove my gall bladder. I know some of you have been through this.... what can I expect? Did you feel better after?

Thanks

I had my gall bladder out several years ago before wls surgery. The painful attacks disappeared!

Do you have a date yet?

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

I  had  gall bladder out   before surgery and it was not  as hard as   the  rny  but  still major surgery so you will have to take it easy.

I have my hernia repair on the   16 with  dr  haung  and even that is major surgery and i cant do any lifting for  six weeks.  maybe  with any luck he will let me go back to zumba in a couple of weeks but we will see.  I will do what he tells me.

take care
you are doing great
