4 weeks out!
It's hard to believe that a month has gone by since my surgery. I'm still in wonderment with the feeling of not being hungry. I'm learning when and how much protein I need to eat to feel good. I'm amazed that 1/2 oz of tuna fish or 2 scallops fill me up like a Thanksgiving dinner!
Sometimes I'm frustrated with the rate of weight loss but when I average it out, it sounds good - an average of 6 1/4 pounds a week. And when I put that together with my 30 lb loss before surgery, I guess I'm on the right track.
On June 23rd, I'm going to an international conference in Denver to accept an award for my work in the classroom. I'm wicked excited and overwhelmed! But, I'm putting off shopping for clothes until the last minute. (Where's your favorite place to shop for clothes?)
I'm sending big thank you to all of you for helping me through this adventure!
Cheers,
Debbie

6¼ pounds per week is fabulous!
BUT, I agree with you that it seems oddly slow even though it really isn't. I am 4½ months out and have lost 87 pounds since the surgery. I lost 15-20 between January 1 and the surgery, so 100+ pounds this year, so far.
Definitely shop at the last minute and TRY THING ON! I just bought some shorts I thought would fit and came home and they were two big. I returned them and bought 3 sizes smaller (I mean to get two sizes smaller but had a brain fog) and the new ones actually fit. It is so much more fun shopping when you get to buy a smaller size!
