I am still shocked at the weight going so fast. 18 pounds in a week. Crazy. I called the nutritionist to ask about it, and she said it was a good amount lost, that my protein is acceptable, not great but pretty good, and that it makes sense that I get way overfull on a cup and a half of carnation milk. Keeping it to a cup for now. Generally speaking, I am thrilled with my results so far.
I have discovered that one of my true loves is still here, and that is cooking for my family and friends. I REALLY still enjoy it, and dont feel deprived or sad when I cant eat it, just tickled that I can make healthy good meals for them. Im sneaking in some lowcal better quality dishes here and there, from recipes Ive neem collecting. It is fun to know soon I will be able to eat with them normally. A week from today I SHOULD move to soft foods, yay for variety! I asked about my desire to exercise again now, and they said not to pu**** they suggest SIX weeks before I get on it again. That is way long, I miss that routine of physical exercise early mornings. I got her to agree that light weights and treadmill isnt a bad thing lol. All in all, Im doing pretty well. One thing I hate is the constant gurgling after I eat. wow, annoying. But if thats the only real price I pay, then bring it on. :)  PS Im not ever hungry. EVER. Its very strange

The lack of hunger is amazing! It's a very strange feeling and very hard to explain to others. I'm about 2 weeks ahead of you . . .the idea of eating soft food was great but, I'm stuffed with 3 1/2 small shrimp or 2 scallops, and NOT drinking water close to meals is VERY important for comfort! I also have lots more small burps after I eat.

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

You inspire me!    It is so nice to get on here and hear how well you are doing!  Made it through my dietican appt, and it wasn't bad at all...flew by pretty quick.  My only disappointment was that I quit Mt. Dew, and thought when I stepped on the scale I would lose some weight, but instead I gained 3 lbs!  Bummer, but that's ok, I'm dealing with it, and still not touching soda!  Started my food log today, and it''s a pain, but sure makes me be honest about what I eat!  Thanks again for sharing your progress!!!!

Wow 18 lbs is amazing!  Don't expect that every week though or you'll get disappointed.  You are doing great and I bet you'll really enjoy the soft foods :-)
