3+ weeks...small changes...
Well until today I didn't think I looked any different or anything fit different yet BUT today I put on some capris that I could barely zip the week before surgery and today I was yanking them up repeatedly. I also wore my camera around my waist (waist strap) and I had to cinch it in from the old "normal" position because it kept sliding down my hips. I also easily wore a t-shirt that I wouldn't have worn just a month ago because my belly would have stuck out too far and I wouldn't have wanted to show my "rolls". I wore it happily today feeling like everything was staying out of sight like it should. The scale is slowly slowly inching down so it's REALLY nice to see some tangible evidence that what I'm doing is actually going to make me shrink. It's super exciting!
Also I went out to Governor's in Waterville after my daughter's dance recital rehearsal with another mom and daughter and I ordered broiled halibut with a side of tomato basil soup and a side of mashed potato with gravy on the side. I ate about 1/8th of the soup (the waitress kept pestering me to eat up because my dinner was coming), then I ate about 3 spoonfuls of my potato and 5 forkfuls of my fish. I was really paranoid about overdoing it so I probably under ate but I'd rather have that than get sick. I gave my luscious giant roll to my daughter, that stung a bit but I got through it. I took about 90% of my meal home (and the waitress had a lot to say about that! I said I'd had a late snack). It was a little hard to watch all the bread around me (I LOVE BREAD) but I did it and it was fine. Phew got that out of the way now :-) I can't wait till I go back on June 8th and get cleared for more "real" food.
