OMG Roast beef and peanut butter...
Wow have I had a humbling lesson in chewing and stopping. At around 2:30 I had a slice of roast beef (this was lunch), I probably ate it too fast and didn't chew thoroughly enough. It didn't taste good to me when I ate it but I figured oh well. Then I ate a teaspoon of peanut butter off a spoon. Didn't particularly eat it fast or anything. After that I started feeling that TOO FULL feeling right in the middle of my chest and was waiting for it to pass when it got worse and I got the foamies! I never knew what they were but boy do I know now. Disgusting. Then I walked around feeling worse and worse and wishing to and finally I did...THREE TIMES...once just a second ago while I was typing this. I am finally starting to feel a little better and I don't think I'll EVER eat roast beef again!!!
I was hoping to be the one exception to the rule and never get sick. Guess not.
Off to lick my wounds (and drive my kid back to school to get her social studies book, hope I don't puke in my new car)

Sometimes we learn the hard way! Sorry this happened to you! Give it some time and try the roast beef later on. Sometimes, just because it doesn't go down right the first time, doesn't mean it won't be ok later on. Let your tummy rest for the rest of the day.......lesson learned, right? Sorry you had to go through this..............Hope you feel better soon!
awww, that doesnt sound fun. This is the first I have heard of "the foamies" lol. Putting that on the list of things to watch out for. I wish we could know what makes some people able to eat some foods and others not, there must just be inborn traits or tendencies. I bet you will be able to eat it further down the road. Hope you feel better soon.
tami its normal i have been thru this with beef and chicken i have had hard time with this two years later i cant stand them , lol its funny i used too live on it now i could careless , peanut butter i love some people cant eat this too , its really wierd how it affects everyone in there each and own way , like last month i got brave and got foams on splenda frosting on a cookie , eeck
Tammy, I feel your pain!
That is such an aweful feeling, especially if you don't actually ; it happened to me the other day when I ate chicken salad.
One never knows what will make us sick...however, I won't give up on chicken salad; I will try it again sometime in the future and hopefully I will be able to tolerate it. It happened with pork.
I hope you are feeling better!

I feel fine now. I ate a popsicle for dinner just to be safe though. It makes me extra nervous because I have to go to a restaurant on Thursday and I'm super paranoid about what to pick. If I can't find something safe I'll just drink something, water or milk, LOL. I am allowed peanut butter and have never had an issue with it so far. I really think it was the pesky roast beef...blech.
Tomorrow will be better, I'm just grateful I was home when I did it!!! Can you imagine otherwise?
