2 more days of treading water, then surgery day!
I am so ready for Thursday to get here. I remember thinking this liquid diet was going to be the hardest thing in the world, and it just isnt. I am finding it so much easier than I expected. I really think my stomach has shrunk over the 2 weeks, although I have actually been at this for closer to 4, wanted to get used to liquids early on. I am not even really nervous, just READY. Trying to plan for the time Im away from home, Im gonna miss my kids and man so much, I will see them of course, but Im such a homebody, lol. Im a weenie, I guess. :) Im ready though. I am hoping that the remainder of my journey goes like this part has, not half as bad as expected, but I am prepared for whatever happens. Anyone else getting real close? Its exciting!
The pain situation is great! I stayed on top of the pain in the hospital -used the prescription pain meds BEFORE the pain got bad. It's kind of like taking something for a headache at the first twinges rather than waiting until it's a splitting one. I only used 2 or 3 doses of the presription stuff at home and then switched to liquid Tylenol. I'm down to about 1 dose a day. I've worked up to 30 minutes of continuous walking plus lots of little bits during the day.
