I begin the 2-week liquid diet starting tomorrow!  Time seems to be flying!  I'm a little worried about being hungry the next 2-weeks, but I have hope I'll survive lol.  I purchased the chocolate and strawberry Unjury protein stuff.  I'll have to look at my red binder again to see if I can have anything else over the next couple weeks, anyone know of the top of their head if things like chicken soup or popcicles are are allowed during the pre-op diet liquid phase?  Something in my head tells me they are not and that all I can have is water and Unjury the next two weeks which is freaking me out lol.  May 28th will not get here soon enough :-)

How exciting!  Yes,  creamed low carb, low sodium soups are allowed as well as frozen popsicles.  I also enjoyed the recipe in the binder for custard. It really hit the spot. SF jellos were good and well, I can't remember what else I liked.

The two weeks will go by so fast.  Good luck!!

Yup you can have some soups, sf popsicles (I really like the crystal lite ones), custard from the binder (not bad at all), sf carnation instant breakfast, skim milk, sf jello.  The first three days were the hardest for me and then I was fine.  If you are starving have an extra shake.  You are on your way now!!!

Congrats! You are about a week behind me. I am out of my first week of liquids and honestly, it is not nearly as bad as I expected. There have been a few moments of wishing I could taste the pepperoni off my daughters pizza or a piece of buttered bread, but honestly they were fleeting.
Not chicken noodle soup, but cream of chicken, with the meat removed. Popsicles are great. smoothies, skim milk, sf puddings and jello, there are these awesome little custard cups at hannaford, i LOVE the lemon. (Think they are dannon)  Carnation instant breakfast is great. You should start researching now, cause stuff is kinda expensive, and it is not as easy as it should be to find high protein ANYTHING. which is where the powders etc come in. I have discovered that protein powder mixed with carnation helps a lot. Atkins protein drinks are not bad, and may be even better mixed with fruit or something. DONT mix slimfast with ice in the blender..lol

Good luck.

Greek yogurt is another option. It fits the requirements for carbs/fat/protein.
I had Dr. H. for another surgery last June. He's not big on small talk (I think he's shy) but, he is highly skilled.

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .
