Real food!!!
I had my two week post op visit with the nutritionist and Dr. Todor and everyone was happy with my progress. I was cleared for soft food whi*****ludes delil meats and cheese. I had some as soon as I got home and it was heaven! I am working to remember to go slow and chew chew chew and so far so good. I'm having tilapia for dinner and can't wait! I've gotten in more calories by lunchtime today than I did all day the past weeks. Dh and I bought bikes yesterday (well ordered) I couldn't believe how hard it was when I was trying it out, it's been at least 25 years and 100 lbs since I was on a bike and felt all wobbly. I tried a different kind of bike next and that was better so that's what I bought. I'm hopeful we will ride as a family and it'll be fun and exercise. I still feel good. I got the ok to add in my calcium, b12 and d now too so I have to work on that. All in all I feel good. Lost another lb, yay.

posts like this must be why they have these sites. I feel like I am literally following in your footsteps. It is SO comforting to know you really Do get to eat again someday, lol. I am on my 6th day of liquids, and today is the first time I felt really hungry. which is weird, cause I had nothing but protein drinks, I thought those would make me feel fuller, but it didnt help at all. I am actually enjoying the creamed soups, cream of chicken. I SO look fwd to the day I can eat haddock again. and cheese? yum.
SO happy for you, and so so grateful that you take the time to update, it really helps.

I'm happy my posts are encouraging for those a few steps behind, I know I appreciate all the wisdom from those who have gone before me. It's really going very well. I know the day will come when something sticks and comes back up or I dump but I'm trying to go slow and everything has been fine so far. :-)
