Day 3

Day 3 getting ready to go home from the hospital.  I finally got food today, well liquid.  They brought me 4 oz of vanilla sf carnation instant breakfast, I was nervous to take the first sip but it all went well.  I took about 1/2 of it in about 1/2 hour then took a shower and came back and finished it.  So far so good.  I am set to be discharged soon, just waiting for hubby to come get me.  I feel really good for the most part, I walked about 8 loops around the nursing station yesterday and slept much better last night, lot less prodding and poking.  I'm anxious to get home and start my "real" recovery.

Thanks for all the support along the way.

Wicked Cool! I'm so glad to hear how well everything is going for you?

Have you weighed yourself yet? Did you gain because of IV fluids? How tired are you? Are you hungry?

Take Care!

31 lbs. lost before surgery!  My goal is 150lbs.  My surgeon's goal is 110lbs.  I just can't imagine that weight right now.  Maybe someday . . .

I'm home, getting ready to get in my bed with 4 oz of protein shake, I sipped all the way home.  I did get on the scale out of curiousity and in the middle of the afternoon, full of fluids and fully dressed it showed a .4 loss.  So I'm hoping for a better reading tomorrow morning naked :-)  I can already tell it's going to be hard not to overdo it at home.  I see lots of things that need attention and am trying to ignore them.  dh is off till Saturday and has gone to the store now.  I put in a load of laundry (not heavy lifting) and am now going to be good and get in my bed.

I'll update more later.

I'm glad to know you are home! Remember to rest as much as you can because whatever needs attention (unless it's urgent) can wait until next week or the week after...you however, can't wait to recover.

Welcome home and God bless!
