Ultrasound on Friday, joining the pain club...

Well Ruth, I didn't want you to be alone so I thought I would get in the pain club with you. I saw my PCP today (and a few weeks ago for the same issue).  She wants to rule out some things before I go back to Dr. Huang on the 17th so he may be able to narrow it down.

About three weeks ago I had terrible burping, and a general pain all through my lower abdomen.  It lasted five days so I made an appt. with my PCP.  She had me double up on my protonix, that seemed to help (or so I thought).

Well last Thursday, it returned only not so bad this time. Until Saturday, OMG! it was horrible, I was traveling to NH with my DD to get her rescue dog and everytime she hit a bump I would cry out in pain.  We were at the rescue over an hour and I walked around holding my belly and it started to subside. As the day went on it got better and was more just tender to the touch.

So she thinks it could be adhesions from one of my surgeries, but she wants to rule out an ovarian cyst (I still have my ovaries, just not my uterus) or gallbladder issues.  I also had my one year labs drawn today.

Anyone else have pain below their belly button?  Sharp pains?

OH Kelly that is awful....I hope they figure out what is wrong.  Doesn't sound like an ulcer or gull bladder being below the belly button.  I've had both and the pain is more around the V in your rib cage.  Do they think it may be related to your recent hysterectomy?  I hope you find out soon.  It sounds like the Dr.s are taking things seriously.  Good Luck.  Are you coming Saturday???? I can't wait to see you!

You are doing pretty awesome considering you just had surgery yesterday! I was sleeping and walking on day two, and nothing else! LOL

That low it sounds more like ovarian cyst or adhesions messing things up down low. Ouch, though.

I am having some intermittent acid problems, and since I am only 3 months out there is already talk of ulcer possibilities. I am trying to see if certain foods are triggering it. I think the Fruit2o Essentials may actually be the culprit.

Hope they figure this out for you quicker than they've figured it out for me!  They've ruled just about everything out for me!  Hope yours is an "easy fix!"  Please keep us posted!
