surgery tomorrow!!! And EMMC question

So tomorrow is the big day!  I'm over my cold and dealing with oral thrush at the moment, I'm hoping that's not a reason to postpone surgery, I'm swishing and swallowing the meds for that and its much better but not gone.  I lost what I needed to to be under my last weigh in so I don't have to worry about that anymore.  I am so paranoid that they'll reschedule me still.  I need to be more zen and think it will be what it is and I can't control it.  If I don't have the surgery tomorrow then I'll have it soon and it will still be fine (can you tell I'm trying to talk myself into that, LOL).  So my question is for anyone who had their surgery at Eastern Maine, did you have a roommate and was that roommate also a bariatric patient?

I'm just curious.

I hope that you can still go through with surgery tomorrow!

I had the most annoying roommate EVER.  She was not a bariatric patient - some kind of leg surgery - but was loud and obnoxious, as was her family.  I was SO glad to go home to finally get some rest!  LOL

I think they probably would put bariatric patients together, but the only other person I know of who had surgery the same day as me was a guy.  EMMC hasn't progressed to co-ed rooms yet.  ;)

they usually dont put  bariatric  patients together because  they might compare and each is so different.  I would of liked that but  I had  two  room mates  one  great lady  and one that  thought she was better than anyone  and was  a public nurse.  But i guess i could of had worse.

I took my headphones so i could plug into the tv  so sleep and not listen to someone else  snore or bother anyone else with my tv.  If you dont have a little set of head phones ask the nurse for some  and she will get you some.  You are right it wont be long now you will be on the losers bench with the rest of us.

Have a great weekend what is left of it!!!

Oh Tami I'm so excited for you!  I'm sure it will be fine, and if they do postpone, everything happens for a reason.  Of course that can be hard to accept (I'm not very patient and hate it when plans get changed).  I'll be sending tons of good thoughts for you and we'll all scoot over on the loser's bench for you!
