Woohoo 5K!

I did it!  I completed my first 5K yesterday.  The course had a few hills and it was pretty cold out too, so I was so nervous.  I ended up with a time of 40:12 and was 106th out of about 175-200.  I should have some pics to post within a day or two.  This is something I NEVER would have done at any point in my life, so I'm really happy and can't wait for the next one.

Congratulations Deidra...what a great accomplishment!  This surgery has changed our lives in so many ways, but I think the most amazing thing is how much more energy we have.

I can't believe the difference. And you really placed quite high considering you never did a 5K before. Here's to determination!

That is AWESOME!!!!  I did my first 5K last year.  It is so much fun and such an accomplishment!!!!  I hope you enjoy many more!!

YEA YOU!  Now it will become addicting!  I ran my first one in November (Thanksgiving) and am always looking for the next one.  It starts to get pricey so I have to be careful...LOL.  Your time was great as well!  I am getting ready for a 10k in August...Congrats on your first of many 5ks!
