Energy
I'm curious as to when most of you who are post-op really started to feel more energy. I am not sure if I can explain this well, as I do feel I have somewhat more energy for doing things, but at the same time I feel like I am really tired a lot of the time. When I am done exercising, I often feel like I could use nap, but I wouldn't likely actually fall asleep.
I did have some blood drawn on Monday, but no call backs about results so I assume they are probably fine. I am not supplementing iron yet because of constipation issues, but I did start taking b-12. I think I must look off as well as no one seems to believe me if I say I am doing okay. I feel like I have dark rings under my eyes.
This is awful, but one of the women I have seen at an in-person support group has lost down to goal, but she looks dreadful. Her hair is all broken and icky, she has really dark rings under her eyes, and she looks a good 10-20 years older than she did. I suppose it doesn't matter if she feels better, but she looks really unhealthy and I don't want to be like that.
My GP suggested that I may have to wait until after the rapid weight loss phase to really feel more energy. I have lost 52 pounds in 9 weeks since surgery, 127 total since July.
I also wondered if it was partly the change in blood sugar. My level was an iffy 7.5 pre-op, and is down to 6.2.

You should call and check on your labs, but it just may be that you aren't getting enough of something. Is your protein up? How about fluids? Dehydration can really make you tired and cause dark wrinkles and dry skin/hair. Also, are you having some carbs before and after your workout? I always have a glass of FF milk before my workout and a protein shake right after.
Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry I can't help...I was one of the rare people that had more energy starting with the liquid diet. I think it was because I was in a carb coma before. I still have tons of energy if I don't eat carbs as soon as I do I feel crappy. It doesn't seem to stop me from eating them though!. Try adding more B12 its one of those that you really can overload on and it might make you feel better. Hope you start feeling better soon. You look great!!!
