Even closer.
Ok so this is what I have done so far:
Social worker February 1st
Nutritionist February 25th
Mandatory Support Group last night
Finished and past in my nutrion quiz
Blood Drawn this morning
Once they get the results from my blood I should be able to meet with the surgeon. I have been tasked to lose 18 pounds before surgary so workin on that. They had two veteren lapbanders at the support group last night and that was very helpful.
I think my biggest worry right now is the transition for my husband. He has been very good about going to the info meeting and my nutritionist meeting with me. I think he gets what I am going to have to do, but I feel like he doesn't get the changes he may need to make in his life for us both to be successful. Last night he had a HUGE steak for dinner. This thing could have fed at least 3 people. And I had chicken, veggie, and brown rice stir fry.

Congrats and way to go on all your appointments! You are getting closer!
About your husband....I am really in the same boat as you! AND...I have 3 kids who are the same way! I've found that I cook food that I know they will eat and then I make something for myself. Everyone here is a "BIG" eater. Even my hubby, who has been thin all his life, eats like a "horse". I've tried showing my family nutrition labels and trying to teach them about portion control, but they just don't want to "get it" right now. SO..............I do what is right for me and I try to cook as healthy as I can for them! (I also have a house full of picky eaters...hubby is the worst!) DH usually never says anything to me if I eat something that I shouldn't be eating. He'll gently remind me if something has made me sick in the past, as he doesn't want me to get sick again.
So, I guess my point is that you have to do what is right for you and not worry so much about what he eats. Try to cook as healthy as you can. That's all you can do. Just be glad that he is going to meetings and appts with you........that's a start at least.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
