ulcer????

How can you tell if you might have an ulcer?  My pouch seems upset and hurts after eating. 

 I just started being treated for an ulcer.  I had pain in my pouch that felt like a volcano errupting just below my breast bone.  It hurt most when my pouch was empty and if I ate spicy foods, like salsa.  The doctor can do a scope to take a look to confirm, but Dr. Toder just diagnosed from what I told her of my symptoms and started me on Carafate along with OTC Prilosec.

I hope you find relief soon.  Don't delay in finding out what is wrong.

Mine hurt mostly after eating and when I was getting "empty".  Kind of a burning, knawing pain just below my breastbone.  Not fun.  The carafate fixed me.   Tomorrow will be my first day off prevacid in close to a year.   I'm nervous about it!

Call the doc to check......Don't let it get worse!

Today it is perfectly fine.  Not sure.  I will call if it comes back

My symptoms were the same as Ruth's.  I stopped my Prilosec for 2 days and the pain came back immediately, so I guess I will be taking it for alot longer.  Don't wait too long to have it checked out.  Missi
