Little nervous
Was anyone else nervous right before the surgeon consultation? I have done all the other things needed, and now am just waiting on my date to meet with the surgeon. It's all gone by rather quickly it seems, and I havn't lost a whole lot of weight although I keep trying. Not sure how soon my consultation date will be, but I am both extremely excited and terrified at the same time LOL I had wanted the new female surgeon but she is only taking female patients at this time, and Dr. Toder is so booked out and underwater as it is, so I went with the Dr. Huang. Hope you all are doing well.
I love Dr. Huang and I am very happy I chose him. He is a great surgwon and will take good care of you. Dr. Toder is wonderful too, don't get me wrong, but you will do well with Dr. Huang too. He knows his stuff and I have been very happy. Best of Luck!!! ( I am in Vegas right now, I'm totally in to the "luck" thing and could never have done this a year ago).

Hi! I'm in the same boat. I'm wicked nervous. I got my consultation appointment to meet the surgeon the other day. I go on March 16th at 10:30a.m. Some minutes I think about saying cancel and then others I say there is a reason that I have gotten this far... I'm not turning back... So anyway... my journey continues... and I'm so blessed to have each of you here on the Maine boards right a long side of me...
What I think is making me the most nervous is that they tell you that they are expecting you to lose weight but not saying how much they want you to lose, so I don't know if what I am doing is enough, or not enough. I received my date to meet with Dr. Huang, its March 8th, so I guess workout like crazy till then and pray to god that I have lost enough in his eyes lol It hard, I do some cardio and where I am so big my body aches, I mean I do weigh almost 400lbs! lol Just gonna do my best :)
When I started I weighed over 400 pounds. I went to the pool at the YMCA to participate in their arthritic pool program 3 times per week. On the days that I didn't go there, I used resistance bands to do seated exercises, because I couldn't stand up for very long. You can do this! We are here to cheer you on.
