walking update
well, just wanted to let you all know how "Exercise" is affecting me and my weight. I continue to do well walking. this week I upped my walking some more, from 2 miles to 3 miles, and from 4x a week to 5 x. I've gone the food path to try and loose weight and it wasn't working after 2 years, I've admitted to myself, OK. i'll try the exercise route now, I did it, I was active but obviously not pushing myself enough. I did 20 mins of walking 3 x a week. so, my scale, still NO Change, my eating has not changed but like I said i'm pussing my exercise more then I"ve ever done it. I"m being told It WILL make a difference I'm still waiting, and that sometimes takes 2 months. I feel stronger, my legs feel tighter, (I should have measured but too lazy). so, I continue on my journey and hope that someday soon, the scale will go down instead of up. BTW, when I upped my exercise the scale went up 6 lbs.
You may not be losing weight, but look at that muscle tone and how much healthier you will be in the long run. I think, when you start an exercise program, you will tend to gain due the water your body needs to help repair the muscle damage. It will level out in time.
I know I felt SOOOO much better when I used to exercise. I had more energy, was less depressed and slept MUCH better at night. Those are ALL positives in my book. I plan on getting back to exercise as soon as they can figure me out! lol........hope it's sooner than later!
Keep it up Cheryl! I'm SOOOO proud of you!!!!
Hugs!
