Not eating=not good

My husband and I separated.  He moved out on Wednesday and I have not eaten well at all since.  I've been stressed and really have forgotten to eat several meals.  Someone made us meatloaf for dinner.  I decided to eat a real dinner and could only eat a few bites.  It feels like my pouch is much smaller again like it was after I first had surgery.

On the bright side, I've lost 4 lbs in 2 days, but this is sure the hard way to do it.
(18 lbs lost in pre-surgery program)

Not a good, safe way to be losing!  Although this is a hard time, you still need to get your protein and fluids in!  It's a matter of your health!  Keep your chin up.  Set a timer to remind yourself to eat, if you have to.  Please take care of yourself!  I'll be thinking about you!

Thank you for the suggestions.  Ruth, I used to set a timer when I was newly out of surgery to get everything in.  That is a great idea.  I did get all of my fluids in today and 60 grams of protein, I figure.  I did two protein shakes made with milk and had meatloaf for dinner and a few pieces of string cheese.

When I thought about what I actually did eat today, I realized I more than I thought.  Still not enough though.  I'm going to try to do better tomorrow.

I'm sorry you're going through a tough time right now Judi.  I'm having my own marital issues so I can understand.  You do need to make sure you're getting your nutrition, vitamins, etc.  Even if it's just protein shakes, it's something.  Keep your chin up and if you need to talk, I'm here.

You are in my thoughts  Judi.  they are right tho  set a timer  or anything that will help to remember.
I still love my  protein shakes and I do them when i think my protein is not up where it should be.

You are doing wonderful.  Take care and hope to see you soon.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope in the end that things will get better for you.  A few days of not eating won't kill you, but don't let it become a habit. Now is the time to take care of yourself! That was why you had this surgery. Best of luck.

Judi! Keep your chin up and don't let it take control of you!  seperation and even divorce are very common for people that have had WLS.  All the best to you and stay healthy!!
