It has been very quiet here.  I've just had a super busy weekend.  Yesterday was my bday and I did some shopping, went to a baby shower, then dinner and bowling with a couple of girlfriends.  JCPenney had some amazing clearance deals this weekend.  For some reason the prices in So. Portland were better than Auburn and Waterville but I picked up some sweet loot so I'm happy.  Except for the fact that I got overcharged by like $30 for a pair of jeans today, so I'll have to go sometime this week and get the adjustment.  I usually pay better attention but I guess I got distracted.

I'm now at 8 mos. out and I think I might be done losing.  I've been bouncing around the same 4 lbs. for about 2 months now.  I will admit my diet and exercise hasn't been the best though.  I've been doing better about exercise so hopefully things will move again.  But if they don't, I think I'm ok with it.  Time will tell I suppose.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and hope things pick up around here soon!

No kidding!  I hang out on the RNY board these days. Even when I did try to post stuff on here I got very little responese.... oh well.  I had a craptastic food day yesterday and really ate way too much. I'm sure the scale will show it the next few days.

Glad to "hear" from you. Hope your pain is getting resolved.

But I did just make an appointment with Plastic and Hand to talk about what can be done with my loose skin (especially lower leg) and breast reduction/augumentation.  I go on the 24th of Feb at 9 AM.

Yippee!  More replies!  lol

Good luck with the plastic surgeon. I go at the beginning of March for a consult to see if MAYBE this extra skin may be part of my pain issue?  Cross your fingers that this doc says it is and maybe my insurance will pay for it?   (I can dream right?)

My pain is the same or worse. If I could take pain meds during the day and still be able to function, I would. But, since I can't drive when taking them, I have to wait until I get home and just make it through the day with tylenol (which does nothing...lol)   I go see a gastroenterologist in a week and I'm still seeing the osteopathic doctor weekly.  The DO THINKS my pain MAY be due to my pelvic bones being "turned outward" from the excess weight I used to carry and now my psoas muscle is trying to get used to how I carry my weight now...and it's "revolting".  I guess it kinda makes sense, but, so far, no pain relief from the cranio-sacral therapy he's doing with me.  He knows I'm tired of the pain and he's trying....just no success yet!  Maybe one of the next 2 docs I see will have some answers.   I'll keep you posted!

Glad to hear from you all!

There has been a lot of talk at Portland support group about excess skin contributing to back pain, but I also understand that rashes can be an easier way to get the surgery covered. I don't know if I will want surgery, but I am starting out by having it all documented!

Good luck to you!
