ok! before i had my RNY i was a ice cream' holic. I had a bowl of ice cream or some other ice cream on a stick after dinner. I also had a sweet tooth for cheese cake, chocolate cake, cookies and other fun stuff. I am now 20 weeks post op and have lost an average of 15 -20 lbs a month. Great weight loss i think, but i have a confession. I eat chocolate every afternoon!  Its dark chocolate 70% cocoa and i have one or two squares off a chocolate bar and thats it.  It has not affected my weight loss but i feel guilty for eating it. I eat well and focus on veggies, whole grains and protein, but i crave my mid afternoon chocolate addiction.

B: kashi blueberries and skim milk, and coffee.
S: protein shake with strawberries and bannanas.
L: salid with grilled chicken breast and nectar ice tea.
S: one - two squares of dark chocolate, cup of tea with honey.
D: turkey chilli with 1/4 of a baked potato

dont feel like that! i posted because its been bugging me and i wanted others oppinions. I always take comments with a grain of salt. but i think your right on!  I do have hot chocolate and i think i can sub some days with a hot chocolate instead of the chocolate. I had surgery to change my life and when i see the old sara creeping in, it scares me a little.

Yes  i understand  I also see the old patty  creep in sometimes  like when i had two pieces of bread this weekend.  I was such a bread eater and now i really dont  eat it.   but i had  two pieces of toast one on friday and one on sunday  and i never eat that.   I do not want to go back to being a carboholic  so i will call that a treat and stay away from it.  I am real lucky that i dont  really crave it like i did. but  it still tasted good.

Have agreat  day  and good luck.

I go through phases with treats.  For awhile I was having a square or two of the 70ish% dark chocolate every day.  Dark Chocolate is actually very good for you and lower in sugar than milk chocolate.  The point is DO NOT feel guilty about having a treat from time to time.  The guilt cycle is what got most of us fat in the first place.  Even a couple squares of dark chocolate every day is not a sin.  Everything in moderation is fine in my humble opinion.  You're doing great just keep up the good work!
