Happy Monday All ~ Well I just had my indiviual nutritionist appointment today. Since Jan 4th I've lost 8 lbs. Yeah.. Tama my nutritionist said that I'm doing good and am well on my way.. She said that she was going to touch base with Lynn and get an appointment with Dr. Toder. Tama says I'm probably looking at surgery sometime this summer.. Now my question.. How long was your process?
Group appointment/first support group was January. Surgery was in October. I actually had a date in June, but found out that my dad had to have a triple by-pass/coronary artery replacement in late June. I wanted to make sure I was well enough to help him out, so I asked to have my surgery postponed to the fall
Congratulations on your weight loss, that's great! I found the pre-surgery weight loss kind of stressful, but I figured at least it really should be gone for good!
It seems like Portland and Bangor must have similar wait times. I attended my first meeting in June, had some PCP-related delays, and got my surgery in January -- so 7 months. They usually have it take a minimum of 6 months as they want you to go to so many support groups, nutritionist meetings, etc., and really be ready for it.
