Oh Sarah I'm so sorry you're going through this and I wish I had some words of wisdom.  I would say that they probably need to do an exploratory lap and actually see what's going on in there.  It could be an issue with your stomach remnant or something.  Have you gone back to your surgeon?  I'll be praying you get some resolution soon.

Second opinions are always good when it comes to dealing with your health.  Please follow up with your PCP... Take care... Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I have no answers, but can you have another surgeon evaluate you, or a gastroenterologist. It definitely doesn't sound good. I am sorry and hope you feel better and get answers soon.

I'm sorry you are going through such troubles.

What happens when you go back to liquid proteins for the day/week? Does the problem continue? Are you eating slowly, chewing everything to mush, eating small quantities? The nausea, vomiting, fever sounds like dumping syndorme. I have to be very careful to chew meats to a pulp or I will have problems similar to what you explain.

Deffinitly go to your PCP. I would ask for a referral to Dr. Neil Smith,. a local gastroenterologist. He's good and may be able to assess this problem. I would also Northeast Surgical and request to be seen by Dr. Toder

Yep, second opinion.  This could be something totally unrelated to RNY and you need to find out either way.  It's hard to be assertive with doctors, but for your own health please try. Or take your BF with you and have him do it, I'm sure he wouldn't have any problem!  Best of luck.

Sorry to hear you are still having issues.  I know I'm late chiming in but a second opinion is a great idea.  You said you've had upper Gi and xrays done.  Have you had an endoscopy too?  Could this be a stricture? an ulcer?  I don't know, but calling your PCP is a great first step.  You need to feel better to keep yourself healthy!  Please keep us posted!  Good luck!

I think that i figured out what was wrong...i think that i have a blockage....thursday my stomach stopped making noises which it has never done and then friday the pain hit severly...started dry heaving and vomiting....got the shakes from dry heaveys and extreme amount of pain...saturday had a hard time eating, but had a little stomach noise...sunday stomach started talking like crazy and last night i got cramping the kind where you have to go to the bathroom cramping...well (NOT FOR THE QUEZY) it felt like someone shoved dynamite in my butt and i exploded....my stomach stopped hurting just like that and passing gas went back to normal (well for me..i pass all the time a little embarssing)...i think that i should have gone to the er when my supervisor told me to on friday they might have been able to find it and make it less painful for me to get trhough it....i am going to have to slow down when i eat steak from now on....that is what i was eating when it happened...IF AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I WILL GO TO THE HOSPITAL.....i know that this could have hurt me in more than one way and it might not have cleared on its own
